Lenders have recently been put under the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies and on or after January 1, 2007, all mortgage brokers conducting business in this state must be registered with the Division of Real Estate pursuant to HB06-1161. This is a necessary step in protecting people’s largest investment and makes mortgage brokers in the state of Colorado accountable for their actions.
