  Alicia Romero moved to Durango from Seattle eleven years ago after attending the University of Washington. She grew up living in seven different states, three of which include the Four Corners States. Even with all of that moving, Durango has always been a place that she called home. Alicia is a REALTOR® with The Wells Group. Alicia enjoys spending her time with her husband, Robin Rasmussen, and their two Newfoundland dogs, Agnes & Izzy, in the San Juan Mountains. She also enjoys cooking, reading, traveling and practicing yoga…but not all at once. Alicia is on the Board of Directors for Bear Smart Durango, a local non-profit dedicated to educating the public about living in “bear country”. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Colorado Chapter of The Red Cross as the new Board Chairperson. Her most recent contribution to The American Red Cross was a two and a half week deployment to Florida for hurricane relief work after Hurricane Wilma hit. She was a volunteer EMT/Firefighter with the Animas Fire Department before the consolidation of our local departments. Alicia has prior work history as a raft guide, pastry chef and ran a non-profit educational program with The Durango Herald. She has been in real estate since the beginning of 2002 and was the 2004 winner of the Education Award. She holds several professional designations, one of which only 4% of Realtors across the country have. She is an active member of the Durango Area Association of Realtors and has held the Chairperson position for the Public Relations Committee for the association.

  Robin Rasmussen was born in the Northwest and raised in the Portland, OR area. Attened Southern Oregon University where he obtained his degree in Biology. Robin fell in love with outdoor sports in Oregon, but found the weather more accommodating in Durango, CO. He moved to Durango in 2000 after realizing he was a a great point in his life to do something different. Not too long after moving to Durango he met his now wife and business partner Alicia C. Romero (who hired him when he first moved to Durango at the Durango Herald newspaper). Although Robin is no longer a serious competitive cyclist he still enjoy getting outdoors: Cycling, running, hiking with the dogs (two Newfoundlands)...and spending as much time as possible with Alicia and their son Rei (pronounced like "rye").
